Straight answers about drinking beer in Plymouth, worked out from the pubs' own lists and the sun model on this site. Lists were read on 22 and 23 October 2026; the figures here update whenever the data does.
How much is a pint in Plymouth?
Typically £6.14, going by the 14 pubs and bars that publish their pint prices online. By style: lager £6.20, pale ale £6.30, IPA £6.52, bitter £4.85, stout £6.60, cider £5.95 and fruit cider £6.10. Every published pint price.
Where's the cheapest pint?
Of the prices pubs publish, the cheapest pints are John Smith's Extra Smooth at The Eagle (£2.95), Fosters at The Eagle (£3.15) and Carling at The Eagle (£4.10). Wetherspoon pubs are often cheaper, but their prices are only in their app, which we don't read.
Where can I get a Guinness?
Guinness is on 12 Plymouth lists we read, including Bistrot Pierre Plymouth, Boom Battle Bar Plymouth, Lord High Admiral, Pier One, Spinners Plymouth and The Boathouse Plymouth. The cheapest published pint is £5.30 at The Eagle. Every pub pouring it.
Which pubs have real ale?

Which beer gardens get the evening sun?
On a clear summer evening, 5 to 9pm, these pubs with tables outside get the most sun out front: The Falstaff Inn (95%), Mount Batten Bar (Hotel Mount Batten) (94%), Rockfish Plymouth (91%), Ferry House Inn (90%), The Bridge (89%), 'N Joy (88%), Toby Carvery Plymouth (88%) and Pier One (86%). Where's sunny at lunchtime in winter?
The low winter sun clears the buildings at only a few pubs. In the sun at least three quarters of the time, noon to 3pm, on a clear winter day: All Bar One Plymouth, Bar Moxy (Moxy Plymouth), Boom Battle Bar Plymouth, Chaddlewood Inn, Cherry Tree, Cornwall Gate Sports Bar, Drakes Lounge & Bar (Crowne Plaza) and Golden Hind.
Where can I get an alcohol-free beer?
29 pubs and bars list at least one alcohol-free beer or cider. The longest lists: The Fortescue (9), The Hyde Park (8), Bar Rakuda (7), Spinners Plymouth (7), Slug & Lettuce Plymouth (6) and The Eagle (6). Lucky Saint is on 5 lists.

Why don't you have prices for my local?
Because it doesn't put them online. We read 238 pubs' and bars' own websites; most community pubs have no website of their own, only social media, which we don't read, and big chains often keep drink prices in their apps. We'd rather show no price than a guess.
